Certificate in Christian Ministry

This program will develop leaders by giving them the tools to enhance them in the ministerial field in the gospel of Jesus Christ. Completion of this program requires two years of studies.

Program Objectives

  1. The program aims to provide students with a solid understanding of the Bible, its major themes, and its application to Christian ministry.

  2. The program seeks to help students develop a basic theological foundation by exploring core Christian beliefs, doctrines, and theological frameworks.

  3. The program aims to equip students with practical skills necessary for effective ministry.

  4. The program recognizes the importance of personal spiritual growth and aims to foster the development of students' own spiritual lives. This includes opportunities for spiritual reflection, prayer, worship, and engagement in spiritual practices.

  5. The program seeks to help students understand and apply Christian ethical principles in ministry contexts. This may involve exploring topics such as social justice, ethical decision-making, pastoral ethics, and ethical issues related to leadership and ministry.

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the content, themes, and key passages of the Bible, enabling them to effectively interpret and apply biblical teachings in ministry contexts.

  2. Students will develop a solid foundation in Christian theology, including knowledge of core beliefs, doctrines, and theological frameworks. They will be able to articulate and explain Christian theological concepts and their significance for ministry.

  3. Students will acquire practical skills necessary for various aspects of Christian ministry. Including skills in preaching, teaching, pastoral care, evangelism, discipleship, worship leadership, and administration.

  4. Students will experience personal spiritual growth and develop spiritual disciplines that enhance their own spiritual lives and enable them to guide others in their spiritual journey.

Certificate in Professional Studies in Leadership

This is a flexible certificate program where students are allowed to tailor their education to meet career and/or educational goals. Students are required to take core classes in biblical/theological studies and to explore courses that will prepare them for advancement in leadership.

Program Objectives

  1. The program aims to develop students' leadership skills and competencies, including strategic thinking, decision-making, communication, problem-solving, and team management.

  2. The program seeks to provide students with a solid foundation of knowledge in their chosen field or industry.

  3. The program aims to foster ethical decision-making and responsible practice in students' professional endeavors. Students will develop an understanding of professional ethics, integrity, and social responsibility, and learn how to navigate ethical challenges in their field.

  4. The program aims to foster students' personal and professional development. Students will be encouraged to reflect on their strengths, weaknesses, and areas for growth, and develop strategies for ongoing learning and self-improvement.

  5. Students will gain an understanding of global trends, cross-cultural communication, and diversity in the workplace, preparing them to work effectively in diverse professional settings.

Associate of Arts in Ministry and Leadership

With a degree in Ministry and Leadership you will gain a strong theological foundation on which you can develop and build your leadership and management philosophy.  You will also study the most effective ways to set goals, create collaboration between members of a church, staff, develop strategies, and manage the priorities and needs of your organization.

Program Objectives

  1. The program will allow students to develop a comprehensive knowledge of the nature and purpose of ministry within a faith-based context.

  2. Students will gain a thorough understanding of the Bible, including its content, major themes, and teachings.

  3. The program aims to provide students with a solid theological foundation. Students will study core theological concepts and doctrines and will explore different theological perspectives and develop their own theological framework for ministry.

  4. The program aims to foster ethical awareness and personal spiritual growth.

  5. Students will be equipped with the tools and resources to continue their education and professional development beyond the program, staying current in their field of ministry and leadership.

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Students will develop skills in biblical interpretation, enabling them to apply biblical principles to ministry and leadership situations.

  2. Students will gain a foundational knowledge of Christian theology, including the nature of God, the person and work of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, salvation, the Church, and eschatology.

  3. Students will study the history of Christianity, including major events, figures, and movements.

  4. The program aims to foster students' ethical awareness and personal spiritual formation.

 

 

Bachelor of Science in Pastoral Ministry

The church is God’s witness in a changing world. While times change, the church must remain “anchored to the Rock.”   If you are called to Pastoral Ministry, then this is the program for you. We offer detailed study in the Old and New Testaments and practice in the interpretation of Scripture. We investigate styles and theories of church leadership and study the relationship of the church to the community and the world. 

 

We are sensitive to adult learning styles and understand the realities of men and women who make the decision to attend seminary with real life experience. With this knowledge you will be equipped to lead and minister in a church setting, using biblical application in the real world.  You will understand counseling and caring for the members of a congregation. You will understand the church’s role as a change agent in the lives of persons, communities, and society. We invite you to apply for the degree program in Pastoral Ministry.

Program Objectives

  1. Provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and teachings of theology, biblical studies, and Christian doctrine. Develop their knowledge of Scripture, church history, and theological frameworks relevant to pastoral ministry.

  2. Equip students with the practical skills necessary for effective pastoral ministry to include training in pastoral counseling, leadership, and administration, preaching and worship, pastoral care, evangelism, and discipleship.

  3. Foster the development of students' character and ethical decision-making in alignment with Christian values. Encourage the integration of faith and ethics into their personal and professional lives as future pastors and ministry leaders.

  4. Facilitate students' spiritual growth and personal transformation, nurturing a deepening relationship with God. Provide opportunities for spiritual practices, prayer, reflection, and contemplation to enhance their own spiritual lives and prepare them to guide others in their spiritual journeys.

  5. Promote an understanding of the contemporary challenges and opportunities faced by pastors in various ministry contexts. Equip students with the ability to analyze and respond to the unique needs of their congregations and communities.

Bachelor of Science in Theological Studies

Theological Studies in Bible college involves the investigation of doctrinal concepts and their relevance for leadership in church, community, and world. Such study of necessity requires grounding in biblical interpretation as well an understanding of Christian heritage, and their relationship to the discipline of theology. This course of study, in contrast with pastoral or ministerial studies, prepares students specifically for further graduate professional and academic study. It can also be used to teach theological and religious studies within denominational and educational settings, as well as increase theological knowledge for persons committed to integrating a Christian worldview with their sense of vocation in a variety of work environments.

Program Objectives

  1. The program seeks to provide students with a solid foundation in Christian theology. Students will study core theological concepts, doctrines, and historical developments, including the nature of God, Christology, pneumatology, ecclesiology, and eschatology.

  2. Students will develop a deep understanding of the Bible, including its content, structure, historical context, and interpretive methods. They will explore major themes, characters, and events of the Old and New Testaments, and learn how to interpret biblical texts in their original context.

  3. The program seeks to foster critical thinking skills in students, enabling them to analyze and evaluate various theological perspectives, arguments, and texts. 

  4. Students should be able to engage in thoughtful reflection and articulate their own views on theological matters.

  1. Graduates will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of key theological concepts, including biblical studies, church history, systematic theology, and ethics.

  2. Graduates will be able to interpret and analyze biblical texts, considering their historical and cultural contexts, literary genres, and theological implications.

  3. Graduates will possess effective research skills, including the ability to locate and evaluate scholarly sources, conduct theological research, and synthesize information to support their arguments.

  4. Graduates will demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex theological concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.

 

Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies and Criminal Justice

This program is structured to allow flexibility to students, allowing them to tailor their education to meet professional career goals. The program is ideal for students with previous learning experiences from vocational schools, military training, law enforcement, firefighters, and other public services, certifications and on the job training and can transfer in many of those credit hours. There is a strong emphasis on spiritual integration, community accountability and service to others. Students have the option to choose course work but will build on a foundation in communication, critical thinking, leadership, and problem solving.  These are all skills that are beneficial especially for employees reentering the workforce.

Program Objectives

  1. The program aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice system, including its structures, processes, and components at the local, state, and federal levels. 

  2. Students should develop a solid foundation in the theory, concepts, and practices of criminal justice.

  3. The program will familiarize students with legal principles, constitutional rights, and ethical standards that guide the criminal justice system.

  4. The program emphasizes the development of strong oral and written communication skills. Students should be able to articulate ideas, present information clearly, and produce well-structured reports and documents. 

  5. The program will provide opportunities for students to develop professional skills and competencies relevant to careers in criminal justice.

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Graduates will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice system, including its structures, processes, and components at the local, state, and federal levels.

  2. Graduates will be able to analyze and interpret the causes and dynamics of criminal behavior, drawing on theories and research in criminology and psychology.

  3. Graduates will exhibit cultural competence and sensitivity, recognizing the impact of cultural diversity on crime, justice, and community relations.

  4. Graduates will demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, professionals from other disciplines, and community members​.

 

Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Ministry

This program integrates technology skills development with the business environment that is necessary to function in the world of fast pace technological advanced world. With technology, businesses and the church can successfully perform in a more effective manner and develop solutions.

Program Objectives

  1. The program will provide students with a solid foundation in information technology concepts, principles, and practices.

  2. The program will equip students with a strong understanding of Christian theology, biblical studies, church history, and ministry principles.

  3. The program explores the intersection of information technology and ministry, helping students understand how technology can enhance and support various aspects of ministry, including worship, discipleship, and evangelism.

  4. The program focuses on developing leadership and management skills relevant to ministry and IT contexts.

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Graduates will demonstrate proficiency in key information technology concepts, tools, and practices.

  2. Graduates will possess a strong understanding of Christian theology, biblical studies, church history, and ministry principles, allowing them to integrate their faith with their IT expertise.

  3. Graduates will be able to identify and apply technological solutions to enhance and support various aspects of ministry.

  4. Graduates will apply ethical reasoning and Christian values to navigate the ethical implications of technology use, data privacy, digital ethics, and ministry practices.

 

 

Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies and Management

 

 We allow you to fast track your time here by applying existing college and military credit toward your degree. You will build on core knowledge and gain practical skills in communication, leadership, and more– all from a Christian perspective. You’ll also choose a specialized concentration in management that aligns with your interests and career goals.

Program Objectives

  1. The program aims to develop students' professional skills, including communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and adaptability.

  2. The program seeks to provide students with a solid foundation in management principles and practices.

  3. The program emphasizes the importance of ethical decision-making and social responsibility in the business context.

  4. Students should be able to analyze complex business situations, identify opportunities and challenges, and develop strategic plans that align with organizational goals.

Program Learning Outcomes

  1. Graduates will demonstrate proficiency in professional skills such as communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, adaptability, and leadership, enabling them to succeed in diverse professional settings.
